This is a large high quality black anodised engraved aluminium botanical plant label that is hard wearing and will look great in your garden for many years to come.

The really unique feature is that we laser engrave your label from a large range of fonts that you can preview to ensure that you get the personalized label you want. Most of the fonts have been selected to ensure that they are easily readable from a distance so you or visitors to your garden don’t have to crouch down to read them. This is a common problem we’ve seen visiting gardens that have hand written labels or labels produced with a small font size.

The label will be laser engraved at no additional cost with two lines of text and optionally the plant species family name. If you would like to include your own garden logo please email us with the logo and where you would like it placed on your label before placing the order and we will confirm a price- we can typically etch your logo for £0.75 per label.

Product details
This is a large high quality black anodised aluminium metal label that is hard wearing and will look great in your garden for many years to come. The spiked plant label is designed to be easily inserted into most soil types and lifts the sign/label away from the ground surface to assist with reading. The hanging label comes with an aluminium wire for hanging from a slender branch.
The laser engraving will expose the aluminium underneath. Engraved / printed areas are a silvery white colour that has slight variability in tone and that may change somewhat over time as it naturally weathers. It offsets the black label background very well with excellent contrast. The label may have minor surface pits and blemishes that are, in our experience, imperceptible from a normal reading distance and we don’t think detracts from the premium look of the label. You will be obtaining a label with excellent contrast between the black label and the silvery white text. Aluminium labels, unlike wooden, plastic or steel labels, are very hard wearing and will not rot, become brittle or rust. These non-plastic plant labels are better for the environment too.

Dimensions of your engraved aluminium hanging label. The label area is 10 cm wide by 5 cm high (4 inch by 2 inch) with two 4mm wire attachment holes. Each hanging labels is supplied with a separate 25 cm (approximate) length of 1.25mm diameter aluminium wire. We have our company name discretely engraved on the back surface of the label.
The plant labels have a sharp point at the end to assist with inserting into soil so care must be taken when handling them. Children may want to use the labels but adult supervision is required, they are not intended as playthings and should never be used as such. The wires provided for tying the hanging labels onto a tree or other structure are sharp and need to be securely twisted onto the support so that the ends do not protrude.
Ordering details
Once you have completed your order we will type set your order for laser engraving and then email you a picture to make sure everything looks good. Please confirm by email and we will then engrave and ship your label. Please also be aware that if you enter a lot of text this may result in a label with a smaller font size. See the example pictures to get an idea of what works well.
Labels will be securely and carefully wrapped on shipping to avoid any damage to the anodised layer. Please be careful on unwrapping and handling to avoid scratching the anodised layer with another metal label or the end of the wire if you have ordered a hanging label.
Once you’ve inserted the plant label into the ground it should not need any aftercare apart from weeding around the sign of course – we have not yet found a solution for weeding. Hanging labels should be checked every few years to ensure that the the wire is not cutting into the branch and adjusted if necessary.
